The food diagnostic lab of the institute (STS 0100) is accredited according to ISO17025 and has a well-documented quality assurance system (testing methods see below).

Investigations for the governmental veterinary service as well as for food enterprises are accomplished.

Moreover, consulting is done for quality assurance concepts according to the principles of the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point concept (HACCP). This work forms a substantial basis for a meaningful, practical training of the students.
